What We Do
SilentCare Foundation conducts community-based hearing healthcare programs focused on awareness, early detection, rehabilitation, education, and inclusion across every age group.
Newborns & infants
Hearing loss identified at birth can be addressed before it affects speech and language development. Our newborn screening initiative promotes OAE and AABR screening for every baby, working alongside hospitals and maternity facilities to make early identification a standard of care.
School children
An undetected hearing problem can look like inattention or learning difficulty. Our teams visit schools to screen children, train teachers to notice early signs, and connect families with follow-up care — keeping every child learning with confidence.
Industrial workers
Noise-induced hearing loss is permanent — and preventable. We help industries screen workers, monitor noise exposure awareness, and educate teams on hearing protection, supporting safer and healthier workplaces across Gujarat's industrial belt.
Rural communities
Distance should never decide who gets to hear. Our mobile camps bring screening, counselling, and referral services to villages and rural communities across South Gujarat, alongside local health workers and community organizations.
Children 0–6 years
The earlier a child receives support, the better their speech, language and learning outcomes. We guide families from diagnosis through hearing aid fitting or cochlear implant referral to structured auditory and speech rehabilitation.
Parents & caregivers
A diagnosis can feel overwhelming. Our counselling sessions help parents and caregivers understand their child's hearing condition, treatment and rehabilitation options, government scheme eligibility, and how to support communication at home.
Teachers & educators
Teachers see children every day — they are often the first to notice something is different. We train educators to recognize the signs of hearing difficulty, respond supportively, and connect families with screening services.
General public
Each year on World Hearing Day, we join the global movement led by the WHO with rallies, screening drives, school programs and public awareness campaigns across Surat — turning one day of awareness into a year of action.
